中华汉语学校纪念钱云老师和李佳博士社区服务奖学金章程
目的：
钱云老师和李佳博士为中华汉语学校的发展积极贡献了十多年，为了纪念他们的服务精神和管理学生们为社区作奉献，学校特设立此项钱云－李佳社区服务奖学金。
合格人选：
中华汉语学校汉语班的在读学生，学业良好，在校注册一年或以上，并且在全日制学校就读九到十二年级。
选拔方式：

学校校长在当年的一月卅一日之前向学生宣布有关奖学金的选拔和程序。

每位申请人用英语写一篇７００到１０００字的文章，告诉选拔委员会为什么他／她应该成为奖学金的获得者。在文章的后面，还要包括一到两个证明人信息，以用来
证明申请人在中文学校以外社区服务活动的参与情况。文章还必须包括申请人的姓名、性别、生日、住址、电话、电邮以及在中华汉语学校学习的年数等基本信息。
文章必须在当年的３月３１日以前交到校长或校长的指定接收人手里。

中华汉语学校董事会与当年４月１５日之前开会，聘请由３到５名成员组成的选拔委员会。成员中不得有人其子女是申请人之一。

选拔委员会在当年的４月３０日之前开会并完成选拔。选拔结果应以申请人所参与的服务活动之表现为基础。

获奖者将在学校的学年发奖大会上宣布。

每一位获奖者将得到一座奖杯或一面奖牌，和奖金。

获奖者的数目和获奖金额将由学校董事会根据学校当年财务状况决定。
The Charter
of the MCS Community Service Scholarship - In Memory of Ms. Qian Yun and Dr.
Li Jia
Purpose:
Ms. Qian Yun and Dr. Li Jia were actively
involved in MCS' growth for more than ten years. To honor their spirit of
service and to encourage our students to contribute to the community, MCS
has decided to establish this Qian/Li Community Service Scholarship.
Eligibility:
All current MCS Chinese class students who
have been enrolled, with good standing, in MCS for the last one year or
more, AND who are in 9th to 12th grade in day schools.
Selection:

MCS Principal makes the announcement to the
student body about the current year's scholarship selection and its
process by January 31 of the year.

Each applicant shall compose an essay in
English of 750 to 1000 words, in single space printout, to tell the
selection committee why s/he should be selected as the winner of the
scholarship. One to two references must be included at the end of the
essay for the service activities the applicant was involved outside of
MCS. The essay printout must be turned in to the principal or his/her
designate by March 31 of the year. The essay must also include the basic
info of the applicant, including name, gender, birth date, address, phone,
email, and the number of years as MCS student.

MCS Board of Directors appoints, via its
board meeting, a selection committee of 3 to 5 members by April 15 of the
year. No appointees shall have their children in the applicant pool.

The selection committee must convene and
make the selection by April 30 of the year. Selection shall be based on
the merits of the service activities the applicant participated.

The winners will be announced at the Awards
Day at MCS at the end of the school year.

Each winner will be awarded a trophy/plaque
and a monetary award.

The number of recipients and the amount of
each award will be decided by the board based on the current year's school
finance situation.
